Wedding Wise Wednesday, January 19

Every Wednesday I bring you the best wedding stories, events and deals in Los Angeles and around the web, and we call it Wedding Wise Wednesday. Welcome!

Cool Wedding Thing of the Week:

Princess Leia and Han Solo cake toppers
- Seriously, check out the chest hair! So cute.

Cool Wedding Article of the Week:

Offbeat Bride: How to elope and share your wedding at the same time. This is also a great thinker for those of you who want to invite out-of-towners who just aren't going to be able to make it your wedding, too.

Cool Resource of the Week:

Joel Eckman Maus (EMP Studio) is shooting my wedding this weekend, and his wife Jeni owns Found Vintage Rentals. Their stuff is amazing, pretty much anything you need for that shabby chic antique vintage wedding look. I could live and die on this couch, for instance.

The Events:
Wednesday, January 19 Inaugural Mixer
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
11461 Sunset Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90049
Free admission
A talk from celebrity wedding planner and stylist Renee Strauss, floral showcases from celebrity wedding florist Kevin Lee, and A sneak preview of the upcoming Brides of Beverly Hills show, and cake by Hansens Bakery. It's the ultimate bridal happy hour. As an occasional contributor to their blog, I'm going to be there, too, so look for me and say Hi, okay?

This is your chance to tour one of the chic-est wedding venues in Downtown L.A., and enjoy cocktails and hors d'ourves while you're at it. They have some great wedding service packages, too, so RSVP by calling 213-620-9662 and drop by. I'll be there.
